Vienna is famous for great art: whether it’s Art Nouveau, Expressionism, or the controversial Viennese Actionism – the city has stood for internationally famous art for decades.
But street art?

The French Antilles island of Martinique is so beautiful that, strictly speaking, it needs no further embellishment: cool blue and turquoise tones of the Caribbean Sea, the endless white beaches, the lush green of the lush vegetation – who can match this splendor? Well, some brave street artists have taken up the challenge and competed with nature with their outstanding works. They created fantastic murals. This gives me the opportunity to introduce you to the best street art in Martinique.
The secluded cape of Alyko in the southwest of Naxos island is surrounded by the most beautiful coves and beaches. But Alyko is not only famous for its idyllic secluded bays. It has actually a real landmark. Pretty much in the center of the peninsula is a long-abandoned and uncompleted resort. Today, these hotel ruins of Alyko are decorated with murals by street artists from all over the world.
After having searched for street art in many different places around the world, after having spent long hours of thorough research about the enigmatic artists, taken tons of pictures of amazing murals, and pinpointed them on maps for you to find, I must say, that putting together a post about the best street art in Guadeloupe was one of the most difficult tasks in this field. The amount of murals on the island is just overwhelming: You’ll find amazing pieces not only on façades in the capital Pointe-à-Pitre. No, walls alongside country roads and even houses in tiny hamlets are decorated with outstanding art.
You might think I’m exaggerating when I call Guadeloupe a gigantic outdoor gallery, but I’m sure that after you’ve read this post, you’ll agree.

You can hike for hours alongside those Mediterranean olive groves and climb mountains from where you’ll have majestic views of the Aegean sea. All this is fine and dandy. But Naxos’ strongest suits are undeniably the beautiful long golden beaches hemming turquoise crystal-clear waters. Seville is one of those many Spanish cities where you can spend days just walking around. Squeezing through picturesque cobblestone alleys, enjoying tapas, bloodred wine, and passionate Flamenco. Visiting the Cathedral, the Alcazar, and the Plaza de España.

Way back in Tenerife’s early years of tourism, the former fishing village Puerto de la Cruz was apparently destined to become this major mass tourism resort. Sadly, in some spots, merciless planners succeeded so that the town has to endure some of those horrific, soulless high-rising prefab buildings. But as mass tourism finally moved mostly to the south coast, Puerto de la Cruz got somehow stuck between its old charm and the ugly remains from the second half of the 20th century. It remained in a peculiar limbo between idyllic beaches and striking urban art.
